world mental health day

Since I began to read, words always made sense to me. They helped get me through hard days and lead me to worlds I had only dreamt of. As I grew up and strayed from fiction suddenly poems and quotes made sense in my head. New struggles called for new coping skills and so began my obsession. Every Monday on my blog I make sure to share a little bit of what helps me get through the hard days and almost daily you can find more on my Instagram. While they don’t take the pain away they definitely help with the loneliness that comes with a mental illness and provides a sense of hope.

Every storm runs out of rain

Maybe it’s okay if it takes time to be okay maybe healing is a road that is lined with endless grace

Morgan Harper Nichols

Grow through what you go through

Not everything that weighs you down is yours to carry

The wars inside my head don’t define me

Whenever we begin to feel as if we can no longer go on, hope whispers in our ear to remind us we are strong

Robert Hensel

Give yourself the same care and attention you give others, then watch yourself bloom

Be the love you have always hoped for

It’s with broken wings I learned to fly

Celebrate your life today and the fact that you’ve made it this far. You have so much ahead of you it’s impossible to know what amazing things will come your way. Seek help if things get too difficult and know you are loved by so many people even if it is hard for you to understand. You are powerful and meant to be alive. You got this.
