21 days to make a habit

You read that right- 21 days. In an effort to improve my morning routine before fall semester classes start I will be joining in the 21 day morning challenge from August 11th- August 30th. This is hosted by Happily Hedy who is another blogger that I absolutely adore. She also has a couple freebies to help make this challenge go nice and smoothly.

it is well to be up before daybreak, for such habits contribute to health, wealth, and wisdom

The goal of this is to wake up in the morning and start your day calm and collected. Truth be told I agree with Aristotle’s quote. Successful people are up early taking on the day. They figure out what they want, what they are going to do and how they’ll do it before most people have breakfast. That is powerful.

So as much as I love sleep I also love being successful. I have made up my own morning routine and I invite you to do the same.

6:30- rise and shine 10 minutes to stir and get out of bed

6:40- physical self care 30 minutes to shower, brush teeth, pick out what I’ll be wearing

7:10- time to break the fast 20 minutes to eat breakfast

7:30- mental self care 15 minutes to write, journal and make my to-do list

7:45- I left an extra 15 minutes in my routine in case I need extra time to eat, shower, or get out of bed!

I created my morning routine around my class schedule. I want to be ready by 8am every morning so I have enough time to get to my class, prepare any last homework and mentally plan out my day. Between the clubs, homework, classes, friends and this blog I will have more than enough to fill up my schedule. By creating this morning habit I will be preparing myself to be successful due to a more relaxed and organized routine to start my day. I will make better use of my time and establish a confidence gradually.

Join me and comment your morning routine. If you post about it anywhere use the #21daymorningchallenge hashtag. I can’t wait to see all of you starting your mornings successfully!
